lighting & camera
CONTENT: Assigned Practice Scripts
TECHNIQUE: Paying equal attention to CAMERA OPERATION, THREE-POINT LIGHTING and LOCATION DIALOGUE, shoot scene coverage in a master two-shot, an over-the-shoulder-shot, and a reverse angle as indicated by your previously-approved STORYBOARD. A shooting ratio of not less than 6:1 is expected; 15:1 in cases of primary or secondary movement.
DELIVERABLES: Submit the following to the appropriate folders in the Cine-Store server (and at least two other BACKUP STORAGE locations of your choosing):
- storyboard
- lighting plots
- footage logs (include f-stops and ISO speeds)
- video footage
- audio recording

Your group editor will combine the footage in an ASSEMBLY edit, trim it in a frame-accurate ROUGH cut with J- and L-cuts, then improve its DIALOGUE.
