ANALYZE the script.  Understand character motives for each scene.

CAST relationships, not roles.  Secure signed PERSONAL RELEASES before shooting.

REHEARSE.  Memorizing lines and gestures improves continuity shooting.

CO-CREATE, don’t dictate.  Actors have ideas, too.  Encourage experimentation and improvisation in rehearsal.  Once the cameras roll, however, emphasize CONSISTENCY.

COACH actors to pronounce words clearly and repeat actions consistently.
