conversation: revision

TABLE READS
- Distribute hard copies of your conversation transcripts to every member of your group. Silently, individually, read all the conversation transcripts. Make notes in the margins about things which require more explanation. Be mindful of exceptional lines that strike you as particularly insightful, funny, or emotional.
- A designated “Scriptwriter” will moderate group discussion. By consensus, choose the four strongest scripts for table reads. A transcript’s author should not participate in the reading of his/her script. Instead, s/he should take notes which will help to clarify further performances.
- By consensus, choose the two strongest scripts to share with the class. The group Scriptwriter and Transcript Author will take notes of class/instructor feedback.
POLISH
- Using this template, your scriptwriter will prepare a 1½ page revision of your group’s strongest script. Pare dead lines. Substitute exchanges from other, dismissed scripts. The priority of this revision is on natural-sounding dialogue. Submit your work as a .pdf to the appropriate D2L assignment folder. Bring six hard copies of the revision to class.
